Hej vänner, idag är det torsdag vilket förutom en ny Podcast från Filip och Fredrik betyder ett nytt fantastiskt blogginlägg från Skithusguiden för att guida er i denna djungel av alla världens skithus! Idag bjuder vi på något alldeles extra för att krydda till er vardag . Vi kommer att bjuda på, historia, kultur och skinande porslin i en härlig kombination från National History Museum i Singapore, ja ett museum, ni hörde rätt!

 

Det gäller att ta vara på varje chans man får att suga upp kunskap här i världen, speciellt om det är gratis som Rudolf Andersson i Sunes sommar hade sagt. Därför bestämde jag mig för att ta mig down town, närmare bestämt ner till National History Museum of Singapore. NÖÖÖÖÖÖRRRDDD tänker ni kanske, vilket jag till en viss grad är när det handlar om toaletter. Det finns absolut inget bättre än att hitta en orörd toalettpärla någonstans där man kan slappna av och glömma vardagens överhängande ”måsten”. Ni håller väl med? Denna dag var inget undantag, jag gick självklart bara på museet för att utforska den rådande toalettkvaliteten och jämförde med tidigare års toalettstandard ändan sedan öppningsåret 1849. Det var en fantastisk historisk resa där man fick en inblick i Singapores toaletthistoria och hur man gradvis har blivit en ledande makt och förebild inom toalettsfären.

 

Nog om detta, jag bestämde mig för att avnjuta en dubbel cappuccino för att sedan ta en titt på den erkända offentliga toaletten. Som den märkliga människa jag är tilltalas jag av andra märkliga uppenbarelser, udda grejer som man kommer ihåg. När jag steg in på toaletten möttes jag av något fantastiskt, inte en enhörning eller något annat övernaturligt som ni nu kanske tror, utan ren vacker konst. En tavla med ett motiv av en lurig, nästan futuristisk apa. Toaletten bjöd även på små hyllplan av finaste Mahogny(kan möjligtvis vara plywood) som var strategiskt placerade för att underlätta toalettbesöket med praktiska avställningsytor för diverse lösören.

Renlighet – 5 stjärnor

Helt ok, kan förbättras med mer frekvent städning. Varför inte fortsätta på galenhetsspåret och anlita städare med dräkter från olika tidsepoker exempelvis från RENässansen?

 

Tillgänglighet – 9 stjärnor

Bra läge med tydlig skyltning! Första våningen och bredvid caféet! KANON!!!

 

Utrustning – 9 stjärnor

Utrustningen är briljant! Dom i folkmun kallade ”universalvaskarna” gör en nästintill knäsvag, eller vad säger ni om kombinationen vatten/tvål/papperhandduk/blåstork/papperskorg allt inom en area av en  halv kvadratmeter? Eufori säger jag! Ett antal toalettbås finns att tillgå och dessa kompletteras med urinoarer i läcker porslin. FANTASTISKT!

 

Design & Innovation – 9 stjärnor

Man har snyggt kombinerat moderniteter med mer klassisk museeuminredning som får en att tänka tillbaka på Malmöhus slott vilket gör en nostalgisk och lyrisk. Tavlan som jag tidigare nämnde är ett jätteplus och träffar en toalettkonstentusiast som jag mitt i hjärtat!

 

Lukt – 4 stjärnor

Toalettens akilleshäl. Ingen vidare lukt!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Trots lukten är jag mer än nöjd med mitt besök på denna fantasiska toalett och jag kommer verkligen att komma tillbaka! Toaletten får i genomsnitt 7,2/10 stjärnor!
